The 17th edition of Baule d'airs, an open-air arts festival organized by the village of die-hard Baulois, will be back on May 17, 18 and 19. New this year, Sunday evening will be extended with a special evening with a concert by the German group Meute.
In Baule, the arts may well be in the open air, but in 2024, they will also be electro.
Although it keeps its festive and open-air identity, the Baule d'airs festival will take a step forward this year with a major concert on Sunday evening. And the headliner of this ambitious program is none other than Meute, ""a group that has spanned the entire world, revolutionized the brass band genre and democratized brassy electro!"", enthuses Stéphane Pillet, trombonist of La Belle Image, pillar of the festival and of the Corne des pâtures.
""They will perform their new album which will be released in a few weeks and Baule will be the first French date of their European tour in 2024"", he continues, recalling in passing that this fanfare, made up of eleven musicians from Hamburg (Germany), covers songs electros by augmenting them with electronic rhythms created by brass band instruments. A great showcase for the Baulois festival!

However, regulars can rest assured, the open-air arts festival loses nothing of what has made it successful until now: street theater companies, invited brass bands, appropriate decor, a large gathering brass bands and musicians, a family atmosphere… ""It's just that we want to show the fanfare differently,"" continues Stéphane Pillet.
